I’m waiting to see how much crap we can actually cram into a 10×10 storage shed. And I can’t wait to unpack it to see what all the boys have decided to throw in there that shouldn’t be there in the first place. I mean, I can’t supervise 24/7. Although, I need to. Casey built the shed on the property in Navasota and it was meant for Christmas decorations and other holiday stuff. I caught a glimpse of a few things that are unidentifiable. And was told “mom, don’t worry about it”. As the three of them take off in a different direction. I’m sure that will be a whole blog segment in itself.
The country used to be nice and peaceful. At least that’s what the wildlife are now thinking. Bill has moved in and refuses to where his hearing aids. So that means he talks about three octaves louder than normal. A hawk soaring at 400 ft. can hear him. Poor Starr thinks she is being yelled at and Bill is actually just calling her inside. The TV set blasts through the piney woods as deer and wild hogs run for fear the apocalypse is upon them. A woodpecker made a visit to the screen porch and looked at me like.. is this new wood free for the pecking? Two huge blue jays were at the feeder and were daring a squirrel to invade their newly found dinner station. That is until Bill and Dusty came out with the chain saw, axe, titanium clippers, and of course, have that “no idea what the hell they are doing” look. Then all the critters elevate to higher perches in the tall pines and oaks. But in spite of my motley crew the creatures of the wilderness seem to tolerate us and our human ways. I think they are all pitching in to buy Bill a new hearing device for Christmas.
We have had so many lookers for the house and now have been told that we are going to get two bids thrown our way. So we are deeply relieved that we no longer have to travel so much each week. A young couple with two young kids looked at the house and the little girl ran to her mother and told her that the rock was talking. She was referring to the outdoor speakers at the end of the pool. I got a big kick out of that. So we will see what comes up this week. Thanks to all who helped get the word out about our home. We had hoped and prayed that someone would buy it that would love it as much as us. I feel confident we are on the right track.
Should not be long that the new book goes to the printers. Keep an eye open for the release of “They’re Pistols and They’re Loaded”. This book as well as “Ride,Baby,Ride” will benefit ovarian cancer research. Blessings to all.
By the way, is it just me, or am I the only one that when you get old…your knees get FAT!!!!
Ride,Baby,Ride!
